Can't restore what you don't have! 40 year sago aluminum siding covered up the character and charm of this old home. After rolling it all back to see what we could do to restore that originality we discovered where exterior walls had been shifted and an old porch was missing entirely from the side. Hence, what's not there, can't be restored with original pieces. So, we discovered that sometimes, the old options, aren't always the best option. So, how close to net zero can we get with modern updates while looking to recapture history? We aren't sure, but we'd love to find out with Certainteed products.
