A House with SO Much Potential!

this is here

Our family of five has lived in our 1968 colonial home for 18 months. We love our location, with great schools, a beautiful and quiet neighborhood and a convenient commute for my husband. We fell in love with the location and intended to completely renovate the house, but we underestimated just how much needed to be updated and are now faced with quite a project. Our three active girls love to be outside and enjoy the back yard, unfortunately, the back yard is difficult to access - you will notice the girls climbing over the railing of the back stairs to get to the yard. The other access-point is through the old, heavy sliding door which leads to the deteriorating screened-in porch. While we have made the most of this indoor/outdoor space, not having an outdoor deck or patio to grill, entertain, or connect the house to the back yard, has proved challenging. Our home's original windows are old and inefficient and many are stuck and unable to be opened (or in some cases, closed!). We also face gaps in the house's insulation, for example, the storage space above the garage (which is accessed through our daughter's room) is completely un-insulated, and the insulation in the attic is minimal. We have found our dream location and know with CertainTeed's help we can create our dream home! Thank you! Tov, Kate, Rachel, Samantha & Paige - The Haueisen Family
